in closing, needs and prayer requests,
Well the Lord did sustain my hopes for the Body of Christ, and He did send some provision. But the heating problem at the church is still not solved, so prayer for that is appreciated. Prayer from those who know what prayer is, is what we value most. And what we need most. The work we do is no different than an overseas missionary, in fact as I drove into our town one day the Lord said, “this is your third world country”. They have no water (living water) unless we bring it to them. They have no food (bread of life) unless we (the body) bring it to them. They have no homes (built on the rock instead of sand) unless we teach them. They are hurting, huungry, homeless, leading empty lives. The only difference between the folks here and the ones living in a hut in a distant land is thay these folks know how to be American. They got all the stuff and think they are alright. They got all the drugs paid for by the government programs, they got all the houses, food, schooling, etc. paid for by government programs. They know how to look “alright”. All the while, thier babies are slaugtered by the thousands, thier young men gunned down in the street, and their women prostituted.
Oh yeah, everything is fine here in small town America. Looking good here in Mayberry.
You know there is a whole lot I am not even sharing. I am bold but not stupid.
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38
We are here and we are working. As you support us you are joining us in the field. Thank you, we love you!
Until next month, be blessed. Penny and Jim and the Raine Tribe
